The F-Word

Sorry gentlemen, but I was battling with my conscience since yesterday wondering whether to put this blog up here. It's a FEMINIST blog called The F-Word, and the topic here is on prostitution. But as a few angry men have put in entries, I've put a link here for any of us to give them some support.

It's a statistical survey that measures how many men thought it "it was unacceptable for a female relative to sell sex, but fine for a male relative to pay for sex". Hypocrites?

Of course, this scenario could have been presented differently. For example, how many people love eating pork chops but would not slaughter a pig? It could have been presented with a scenario unrelated to sex and "gender".

It's another thinly disguised attack on men.

The posting I sent in yesterday has not yet appeared. This may be because it's now the weekend -- meaning it will appear in the next couple of days. Or it may be because feminists don't like arguments against their cause.

If they don't show it, I'll post it here.

Weird survey; You ask 100 people if it's ok to buy sex,50% say yes and 50% say it's not.We break it down to sexes and approx 60% of men say yes and 40% of women say yes.
There is bound to be a small % of people of both sexes who have said
"not"due to what they think they should answer rather than say they
couldn't care less.
Similarly 60% of men say ok to selling sex and 35% of women;IE;If
the same number of men as women have been polled then 4 3/4 of all people say ok and presumably 5 1/4
say no.
I do not think it fair nor likely
that either a man or woman is going to say it's ok for one of your relatives to sell sex especially if they are close. It's just human nature,do you think you could answer yes to your daughter
or your wife even, in a survey. It doesn't make sense.Even worse is the over 55 tag.Iam 72,my nearest relative is 45,I wouldn't want her selling sex at the old age of 45,I
would be thinking of her as a poor old diseased crone,I understand prostitution when young but the thought of a relative dragging herself round the streets giving blow jobs at 45 would be too much,
so it's not a fair question in my opinion.
On the other hand what about the
women who say they are not prostitutes and beat mens asses and
generally give them a hard time for £100an hour.I might just be proud to have one as a relative.
What is to be done about them?,nothing I suppose.
Lastly this was all to do with
trafficking,I have asked Louise for some figures but I understood that there had been a huge overestimate of numbers, most of those that could be considered trafficked were unlikely to push off home but wanted better conditions and were just"on the earhole"for cash.Am I wrong?

This is not a survey. The questions are too dumb. It's another means to put men under attack.

Fred likes prostitutes. But he would hate it if his sister was one. So Fred is hypocrite.

Bob likes prostitutes. And he wouldn't mind it at all if his mother was a prostitute. So Bob is a despicable individual who might well be a criminal.

What annoys me is that these people are given any credence at all by governments. And the Guardian have put a link to this rubbish under "Best of the Web"!.

Well, my posting definitely has not appeared because others sent in after mine have appeared.

I show my posting below, with a little analysis of possible areas where the blog feminists might find it worth suppressing.

Sex is fun, but not always easy to get. Hence people with a strong appetite for sex (meaning men) but without the seduction skills necessary to find partners with a diluted sex drive that needs seduction to get it going in the first place (meaning women) cut out having to battle with the dragons in the middle and pay. (Sorry feminists, this is not sexism. It's biology.)

This does not mean that prostitute customers think prostitution is an honourable profession. For them, prostitution simply makes sex available. And for prostitutes it gives them what they like the most: money.

But is this really a question of double standards? How many people would not readily admit at a party they had a brother who was dustman, but would still like their bins emptied? How many people like pork chops but would not slaughter a pig? Does this make them hypocrites?

In short, this prostitute scenario could have been presented in many other forms completely unrelated to sex (and "gender"). This report is another thinly disguised attack on men.

There is nothing offensive about it. Only disagreement with the report.

Possible issues:

1. I state that there are biological differences between men and women, the pertinent one being that men have a stronger sex drive. Although factual, this may have been seen as sexist, as I anticipated.

2. I referred to feminist readers not by name but collectively as "feminists". This would be the most childish of grounds to reject the post.

3. I state clearly my belief that prostitutes like money above all else. This is a commonly held view. Indeed, there is strong psychological support for women in general being primarily interested in security, money and possessions, let alone prostitutes.

4. I conclude that the survey could have been carried out with a different set of questions that were not related to sex, that these questions were put in relation to prostitutes in the way they were as an excuse to make an attack on men. This gets at the reason for the survey. And is probably the reason the posting was rejected.

Mike -- that was a good posting you made.

You're probably right though. Maybe there's NO point in commenting on blogs like those. I only suggested it because the Guardian put a link to it, when they never do to sites like this one.

One possibility might be to discuss their issues here with other bloggers if any are particularly full of man-hatred or lies.
